Economic Value Story Builder AI SKILL
If you are working your Go-To-Market strategy and have a clearly defined Ideal Customer Profile, but are still struggling to get customers and sales cycles are long, it’s likely you are missing one or more of the five building blocks of an Economic Value Story. This SKILL builds them for you.
Why I Built This Skill
Wasted time and marketing spend. 74% of buying groups run on unhealthy conflict. 67% of B2B buyers now want to make the decision without a seller in the room at all. (Gartner, 2025). A clear EVS is an offense for avoidance and stakeholder disagreement.
Avoid long sales cycles and wasted marketing budget. B2B buyers choose vendors before the buying process begins, w/ pre-contact share of the journey at 70-80% (Forrester, 2025). Your EVS needs to be in that pre-sell story (deck, website, assets).
Build one narrative, grounded in real numbers that sales and marketing both use. Instead of a slightly different pitch by everyone on the team, which Gartner’s research shows actually lowers group consensus by 59%, everyone in the buying group hears the same custom cohesive defensible story.
Increase revenue quickly. All eight members of my team work on three things at the highest level for our paid clients. Go-to-market strategy, Ideal Customer Profile, and Economic Value Story, once those are in order the campaigns work and revenue increases quickly. $150M+ in revenue generated in one year. $8M to $50M ARR in 12 months. 101% revenue growth year over year. These are real results from implementing a clear economic value story.

About The Skill
What it is. This is a set of markdown files in a Zip file which you put into a new project or directly into the chat of your favorite AI (Claude, ChatGPT, any LLM). You do not need to know how to code, or use terminal, simply start a new project and put the files you receive into the project. Then use the regular chat box in your LLM to help you create your Economic Value Story. Provide some context about your company and product or service like your deck, website and marketing materials, and it will ask you questions through a guided interview discovery flow. It will also research relevant credible sources to augment your data with defensible statistics. Then it writes all five blocks of your economic value story. You interact with it, share specific stakeholder situations and customer wins, and it works with you to fine tune your EVS. Later, once you have more meaningful customer data and outcomes, you come back to the same thread, provide it more information, and it helps make your EVS statements even better.
Steal my homework. I have put all of my experience and processes learned from developing economic value stories over the last 20 years, along with leanings from 24 credible, cited sources in this tool so that the output is the strongest possible economic value stories possible based on your inputs.
